Someone in your town is searching for this

Hello,

We get a lot of women on this list who describe a similar thing.

They've attended a Singing Mamas group (or heard about one, or stumbled across us online) and something lit up. A quiet recognition. A sense of I could do that. Or maybe something more urgent: someone needs to do that, here, where I live.

If that's you, this email is for you.

We're not looking for the most experienced singer, or the most confident leader, or the person with the most time on her hands. What we're looking for is harder to measure than any of those things, and we'd argue more important.

We're looking for women who are connected, courageous, and inclusive. Rooted in their community. Genuinely motivated to do deep work there. Ready to stretch themselves and reach women who might not otherwise find their way into these spaces.

Here's what we know.

Every week, women are actively searching for a Singing Mamas group. Not just seeing a social media post. Not just spotting a flyer. Searching, because a friend told them about it, or because they used to go to one and then moved, and now they want it back.

"A friend of mine said joining a mum and baby singing group was the best thing she did on mat leave, so I searched for one in my local area."

— Group member, Bristol

"I attended Singing Mamas in Lewes during COVID. When I moved to Kent I sought out a group there as a way of building new friendships."

— Group member, Kent

Some of those women find a group. Some of them don't.

The women we're training in October are going to change that, for every mama in their town who is searching right now and finding nothing.

Before bookings open, we'd love to hear from you. The "Tell us about you and your community" form is your chance to tell us who you are, where you're based, and the community you're hoping to reach. There's more about how we make decisions on priority booking in the form itself.

Complete the form here OR...

... If you'd rather talk than type, you're welcome to send us a short video instead. Take a look through the form questions first so you know what to cover, then record yourself talking us through your answers, no more than three minutes. Email it to [email protected] and we'll make sure it's seen.

If you filled in the form ahead of our last round of training, you don't need to do it again, unless your circumstances have changed or there's something you'd like to add. Consider yourself already known to us.

General booking opens to the full waitlist on Wednesday 17th June. We'll be in touch before then with more details about what the course entails as well as an invitation to a live Q&A.

With warmth and song,

Kate and the Singing Mamas team
