Why This Code of Conduct is Important
Singing Mamas is a grassroots movement of women including mamas, nurses, doctors, midwives, musicians, teachers and community workers who are all committed to improving wellbeing through singing. With every woman who joins our network, we become stronger and richer. Between us all we have so much life experience, wisdom, and a huge variety of passions and purposes to be fulfilled.
This Code of Conduct - and your commitment to it - is essential for building a culture of integrity and accountability, which is crucial for the success, sustainability and reputation of Singing Mamas CIC as we continue to grow.
It outlines the principles, values, and behaviours expected from everyone who represents Singing Mamas - from leaders and volunteers, freelance workers and employees, to board members and other stakeholders.
This document serves to ensure that all individuals associated with Singing Mamas commit to act in the best interests of the CIC and are committed to Singing Mamas’ policies and procedures for safeguarding, confidentiality, information sharing and governance.
The Code of Conduct is reviewed regularly by the Singing Mamas Board of Directors to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
